In support of our last blog about being late, here are a few tips, so hopefully you will be on time ALWAYS!

♦       Schedule traveling time in your calendar! You schedule time for the appointment, schedule time for the drive.

♦       Plan your day with as little drive time as possible. Here in Tampa Bay, you could have to drive over an hour (sometimes two) to get from one appointment to the next. Plan your week accordingly, and try to get appointments and meetings in the same area of town, instead of putting extra miles on the car!

♦       Leave 15 minutes early. If you are like me, you HATE having extra time when you are early… BUT, bring something with you if you do arrive 15 minutes early.
Ideas might be:

  • Bring phone numbers of your clients & referrals sources, so you can call and check in with them, see how things are going, if there is any way you can help them.
  • Keep an amazing book in the car. I personally like Truth or Delusions by Dr. Ivan Misner and Mike Macedonia. Why? It’s an easy read, and can be done a few minutes at a time!
  • If you are a Certified Networker grad, use that extra time to do some additional planning on your Networking Scorecard!

♦       Give yourself PLENTY OF TIME in between appointments. Often, meetings we planned to last only 30 minutes last an hour, and then the WHOLE DAY is thrown off! Either pad your schedule with a little extra time, so your day will run smooth even if one appointment runs long, OR schedule your meetings with a start and end time, and stick to it!

♦       Know where you are going! And know in advance how long it will take you to get there. Too often people are relying on the GPS to get directions… and sometimes addresses are not found in the system, or the distance is long than thought.

Have a great tip you would like to share, or other thoughts, PLEASE comment!

How often do we meet with people and they show up, just a few minutes late?
No big deal, right?
What if these people are continually late? To every meeting, whether it be just with you, or to a group meeting?

I have my thoughts, but I am wondering about you…

In life, things do happen, every now and again, but what happens when being late becomes a rule instead of the exception?
How many times being late is too many?
How late is too late?

Last year I shared a blog – X the X-mas Cards (click on the title to reread it or read it again for the 1st time).

As Jeanine McLeod of Cloud 9 Studios is celebrating Christmas in July this weekend, I was reminded that December is not that far away.

As you are planning for the 2nd half of the year, ask yourself what you are going to do to be remembered by your clients, prospects and referral sources.

There are a number of holidays that you can use to use, or you can create your own.

Our goal at Thread Art is to help come up with creative ways to grow your business… and being the ONLY person to celebrate helps you be remembered in the right way!
